It may be a Pham bam the next time someone crosses Tommy.
Chicago White Sox outfielder Tommy Pham has been one of baseball's more colorful players since his debut in 2014, and on June 2, he gave fans a reminder of just that.
Pham and Milwaukee Brewers catcher William Contreras had a bit of a dust-up following a home-plate collision in the top of the eighth inning of the White Sox-Brewers matchup on Sunday. Pham took issue with Contreras' hooting and hollering after the collision, which preserved a one-run Brewers lead. Both sides had to be separated by umps.
The fireworks continued after the game, when a hot Pham told hot mics he's "prepared to (expletive) someone up" in the event that issues happen once again, seemingly sending a warning to Milwaukee, or whoever else may draw his ire in the future.
"One-run ballgame, close play at the plate, and actually, it wasn't even (expletive) close," Pham said. "It was a shallow fly ball to left field, you would expect the left fielder to throw the baserunner out on that play, but the situation in the game, the third base coach sends you, you gotta go.

"I'm nailed out at home by a mile, I'm going to the dugout and I hear the tough guy with all the hoo-rah (expletive). I'll never start anything, but I'll be prepared to finish it. There's a reason why I do all kinds of fighting in the offseason, because I'm prepared to (expletive) somebody up. So you can take it as what it is."
The Brewers went on to protect their lead and added a few more insurance runs to finish their three-game set with the White Sox. Both squads won't meet again this season, unless they face each other in the World Series.
That may be a tall task for the White Sox, who have careened to a 15-45 record, firmly the worst team in baseball. The Brewers currently lead the NL Central at 36-23.
In the meantime, perhaps Contreras can look into muay thai in the event he crosses paths with Pham again in the future.
